Strumhard  Soundhole  Guards – I  got my  first set of  these about a year ago…  They are Awesome!  Slip on easily.  and stay on securely until I choose to pull  them off.  Leave no marks, and do exactly what they say they will. I first got interested when I bought a used Guitar,   and  the  bottom  of  the  soundhole  looked  like a  Beaver  had  been  snacking! (Seriously – the previous  owner  must  have  been  Wailing with  that  Pic..)  So these are perfect to hide the damage,  And.. I  want them on all my other  guitars so that will never happen to them!  I have had  pros see them  on my  Guitar that  had no knowledge of  the Product.. As a professional musician, I am very pleased with my recent purchase of the Soundhole Guard by Strumhard.  They fit snug on  all my  guitars yet do not  mark or damage them, even  when  I  remove  them  in  order  to  clean  my guitars.    I  highly  recommend  the Soundhole Guard to all guitarists of all levels. These were perfect for my guitar. I just bought a guitar that has a cedar top on it. Cedar is a softer wood  than spruce,  so after only  playing it a few times,  I already had wear marks around  the soundhole  where my  pick  had  hit it  while  strumming.   I  put  these on and haven’t had any trouble since.  5.0 out of 5 stars  December, 2015

These fit perfectly on my Seagull S6, which was  starting to  chip along the lower  edge of the soundhole…cedar  is a soft  wood.   Put  in on the  lower  edge only, and  put the extra guard on my Seagull 12 string.  Don’t notice it at all while playing. Positioned it so there’s still  room for my  Fishman soundhole  pickup.   Was hesitant to spend  $20 on  two little pieces of  plastic,  but cheaper than trying to fix my guitar top!                                              5.0 out of 5 stars March, 2017

This product comes in two pieces, the pieces fit perfectly into the soundhole of my Taylor 410-CE.   Over the  past couple of weeks,  I’ve  been  playing  my  guitar as I  normally  do (pretty hard strumming, hence the need for this protector) and the pieces don’t get in the way or change the sound.  It’s as if they’re not there – except they’re protecting my guitar. I should have bought this years ago before I started damaging the edges of the soundhole. Think  of  it  like  a mouth guard  for  teeth  grinders – the earlier  you start using a mouth guard,  the less you’ll destroy the enamel on your teeth. 5.0 out of 5 stars November, 2015

I play a lot of acoustic  gigs and tend to get very “into it’ when  I do. As a result,  the sound hole of my Martin DC-16 has taken a beating – to the point that I started losing wood. Yes, I  play a lot  and I  play hard.   (Not  everyone plays with perfect technique – don’t  judge).
In any case, I searched  for  solutions and came  across  these.   I figured, what’s the worst that could happen for under 20 bucks?
Well,  these  are  awesome.    I  had  to be  careful  putting  in on  my  guitar,   particularly because of the various splinters of wood that had already chipped off  (pictures available upon request),  but I got it on there and it fit with a pretty solid feel.  I had concerns that
my  hard  playing  style  might  make this  pop  off,    or  the extra  slight thickness  at the soundhole would impact my playing, but I couldn’t even tell it was there (I only used one for the lower edge, where I was hammering the wood off the edges).  The guard stayed in place  very  well  and *boom* – no  more  wood shredding.   Worth every penny to protect your beautiful gear.  5.0 out of 5 stars  May, 2016

“Just a thank you for a  great product.  I  just ordered my  second Soundhole Guard.  As a percussive  player I  tend to “Flick” my  fingers against the  Soundhole to produce a  “Tap” noise when required.  This can wear the edge of the soundhole quickly.   I did  look at  the softer ones on the market but they muffle the tap and grab the fingers or pick.
